Two people were stabbed inside a mall in Carson after what reportedly started as a verbal altercation escalated Sunday, authorities confirmed to KTLA.
Deputies with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of the stabbing at around 2 p.m. at the South Bay Pavillion Mall, located at 20700 Avalon Boulevard.
Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly what sparked the verbal altercation in the mall’s food court, though investigators said it quickly turned into a physical altercation that left two people with stab wounds.

Medical personnel with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and transported both the victims to a nearby hospital. Neither of their conditions were immediately available.

A third person was arrested in connection with the incident.
In footage of the aftermath, several deputies are seen attending to someone that appears to be a victim, as they are seated at a food court table.
No information was provided on the ages and or genders of those involved.
