Jets re-signing electric kick returner Kene Nwangwu on one-year deal

Kene Nwangwu re-signed a one-year, $2 million contract that includes $1 million guaranteed and can be worth up to $3 million based on bonuses and incentives, according to ESPN.

Nwangwu has five career kickoff return touchdowns on 89 attempts, including one in each of the past two seasons for the Jets.

He has averaged 36.2 yards per kickoff attempt since joining the team after three seasons with the Vikings, where he was an All-Pro.

So, the Jets have their dynamic return duo back together under special teams coordinator Chris Banjo. Punt returner Isaiah Williams averaged 14.1 yards and took two to the house last season.
