Forget coffee, these die-hard Los Angelenos went straight for Guinness before sunrise.

Hard-living St. Patrick’s Day punters stormed Tom Bergin’s in Fairfax at a bleary 6 A.M. Tuesday, kicking off a booze-soaked marathon that will not wrap until 1 A.M. Wednesday.

Inside the iconic Irish dive, it was less “breakfast” and more “hold my pint.”

Early risers tucked into traditional fry-ups, washing them down with Irish coffee and cold beer like it was already last call.

By mid-morning, things were already teetering. By noon? Chaos.

The party exploded into the parking lot, where outdoors bars cranked nonstop, a live band battled a DJ for volume, and bagpipes wailed over a sea of green hats and day drinkers hanging on for dear life.

Rookies tried pacing themselves. Big mistake.
