Budweiser Clydesdales set Richland County stops Sept. 10 and 12

The Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Richland County.

The iconic horses are scheduled to make appearances in Mansfield and Bellville, according to a community announcement.

A single Clydesdale will be available for photos from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 10 at The Brickyard, 21 W. Temple Court, Mansfield. The full eight-horse hitch will be harnessed to a beer wagon for a photo opportunity from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Bellville Street Fair.

A single Budweiser Clydesdale horse will make an appearance at The Brickyard in Mansfield on Sept. 10 and the eight-horse hitch will appear at the Bellville Street Fair on Sept. 12.

The Clydesdales, based out of St. Louis, make hundreds of appearances annually. They have been the mascot of Anheuser-Busch since 1933, when a team was presented to August A. Busch Sr. to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition.

Horses ambassadors of Budweiser

“We are honored to have the opportunity to bring the Budweiser Clydesdales to Richland County,” Justin Berry, general manager of Mansfield Distributing, said in the announcement. “They are true ambassadors of the Budweiser brand.”

Beyond their appearances across the country, the Clydesdales can be viewed in St. Louis at the Anheuser-Busch brewery and at Grant’s Farm, as well as at Warm Springs Ranch, a 300-plus-acre breeding farm in Boonville, Missouri.
