LANCASTER — With one more year left until it’s set to open, Lancaster City Schools shared via Facebook an update on the new Lancaster High School, planned to open next August.
According to the post made on Aug. 21, several developments are moving along. The parking lot has begun being paved on the East side, and they are preparing to start the north parking lot soon.
Exterior sidewalks and courtyard concrete work are almost complete around the perimeter of the building, and drywall in the main hallway outside the gymnasium, auditorium and cafeteria spaces have been completed with blue and gold paint.

Most classrooms and the career technical space have completed flooring. Scoreboards for both the competition gym and auxiliary gym areas have arrived on site.
One elevator has begun to be worked on, and both elevators should be completed in the coming month.
