Police searching for suspects who assaulted man at El Paso park

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The family of the man who was allegedly assaulted at an El Paso park while playing Pokémon Go says El Paso Police are still searching for the individual(s) responsible, according to a fundraiser.

The family says Christian Kelsey had his phone stolen and was “beat up” while playing Pokémon Go at a park in El Paso.

Kelsey suffered major injuries to his mouth, and he might lose his front teeth, his family said.

Kelsey is a severe traumatic brain injury survivor and is also disabled.

Kelsey’s family says police are still searching for the two people who are responsible for the assault.

KTSM 9 News has reached out to El Paso Police to confirm if they are investigating the alleged incident.
