Erika Kirk, the widow of assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk, will be among President Trump’s guests at tonight’s State of the Union address.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt retweeted a Daily Wire story about the invitation, including the quote: “The president will call on Congress to ‘firmly reject political violence against our fellow citizens’ with Charlie Kirk’s widow in the chamber.”

Erika Kirk took over the leadership of Turning Point USA after her husband was shot and killed during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025.

President Trump was among the nearly 100,000 who attended a blockbuster memorial service for the 31-year-old at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
