The high-school gym teacher charged with sexually abusing a teen student on Rhode Island is married to a former educator of the year who she met on the job, according to a report.
Alisha Crins, 39, who was charged Friday with two counts of third-degree sexual assault for the inappropriate romps, met fellow gym teacher Jeffrey Crins while both worked in the PE department at North Smithfield High School, the Valley Breeze said.

He earned “teacher of the year” honors while teaching at the district’s middle school, the outlet reported.
“It’s great to be able to bounce ideas off each other,” Alisha Crins said of working with her hubby at the time.
The two have a son together, the report said.
Jeffrey Crins declined comment when reached by The Post on Tuesday.
His wife lost her teaching gig at Ponaganset High School in Glocester when the sex allegations against her surfaced in October.
Prosecutors said Alisha Crins started up with the teen when he was a high-school sophomore and went on to send him racy photos and videos and had at least one make-out session in the back seat of his car.

The inappropriate relationship started when she told the boy he “looked good,” according to an affidavit.
“I can’t believe I’m going to do this,” she allegedly told the teen. “You can’t tell anybody.”
Alisha Crins admitted to detectives that she sent the student X-rated pics and videos and kissed him but insisted they never had sex — although they discussed it more than once.
She said she eventually told the teen they had to stop — but copped to sending him the nudes after he turned 18 and had graduated from high school.
Last spring, the teen filed a complaint with Rhode Island State Police.
Alisha Crins is scheduled to be arraigned on the indictment March 18.
