Britney Spears was arrested Wednesday night in Southern California, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office records show.
According to Ventura County inmate records, Spears was arrested at 9:28 p.m. Wednesday and released at 6:07 a.m. on Thursday. It is unclear why the pop singer was arrested.
She is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
