Twisted past of vicious SF Chinatown stabber — and his very influential father

“No words spoken, no threat posed” that’s how court documents describe the victim in San Francisco’s horrific Chinatown knife stabbing.

The new details come as we learn more about the accused slasher’s demented past — and his influential father.

Jian Feng Huang, 38, on Thursday afternoon approached an innocent man waiting at a crosswalk at the corner of Stockton and Sacramento streets in the heart of Chinatown, and without warning stabbed the man, driving a knife deep into his back, prosecutors say.

Viral video of the incident shows the victim reeling in pain as he clutches the wound and collapses.

Cops found the victim with a 3-to-4-inch gash in his lower back “seeping significant quantities of blood,” court documents say.

Minutes later, police on the scene recognized a man who fit the description of the slasher.

The man, identified as Huang, carried a plastic bag bearing a kitchen knife, still slick with his victim’s blood.

Huang was arrested and charged with attempted murder, with his arraignment set for Tuesday.

““This is a horrific attack on an innocent man,” said District Attorney Brooke Jenkins at a press conference Monday to announce the charges against Huang.

The victim in the stabbing hasn’t been identified.

But the manager of a business near the scene of the shocking attack said police told her and other workers that the victim and suspect knew each other, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The accused cutter has a disturbing history of arrests over the past decade and his father is influential in San Francisco’s Chinatown, according to reports.

Huang has been arrested multiple times including for vandalism and arson, according to the San Francisco Standard.

He was busted in 2016 for smashing the windows of seven parked cars in Chinatown and convicted of arson in San Mateo County in 2020, the Standard reports.

His father is Chu Wen Huang, one of the most powerful men in the city’s Chinese community, who has served as chairman of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, according to the Standard.

The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association is one of the most influential advocacy organizations in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
