Police bodycam footage shows Patriots’ AFC championship party with strippers, hookah and dollar bills

Boston police released bodycam footage this week from when they were called to a restaurant to shut down a bar party being thrown by Patriots players after they won the AFC Championship in late January.
Clips published by media outlets showed the moment when officers arrived at Estella, located in the heart of Boston, shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Jan 27. The videos showed people in the restaurant’s basement partying, who were purportedly members of the Patriots.
Police observed what appeared to be strippers and hookahs in the basement of the downtown Boston restaurant, and the establishment was later penalized for violations as a result of the party.
Officers were responding to a noise complaint, and upon arrival, were told by people, including the owner Helder George Brandao, that the Patriots players had been partying, Boston.com reported.
Officers were seen pointing out hookahs on the tables, and dollar bills were visible on the floor.
The footage obtained by the outlet was five half-hour videos, and at one point, one officer was seen talking with another individual, telling them that they had been called to Estella’s for similar issues in the past regarding after-hours parties.
“Damn. … But if y’all would’ve known it was these guys, you guys would’ve gave us some grace?” a male asks the officer.
“I mean, yeah,” the cop replies. “Listen, if you guys are going to throw something, plan it with the city.”
In another instance, an officer is talking with a woman who says that they “scared” a man named Kayshon.
“Are you talking about [Patriots wide receiver] Kayshon Boutte?” the officer responded, to which she answered back in the affirmative.
The police report stated that officers smelled marijuana, observed liquor and saw exotic dancers inside the establishment’s basement.
No Patriots players were arrested or faced charges.
Estella was handed down a three-day license suspension from the Boston Licensing Board as a result of the incident.
