How to watch ‘The Voice’ Season 29 premiere for free: Time, judges, coaches

“The Voice” is returning for Season 29 and it’s going to be a “Battle of Champions.”

For the first time, the coaching panel — which will include Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine — are all winners. It’s also the first season of “The Voice” that will have only three coaches.

Legend and Levine are returning to the series after a one-season hiatus; Clarkson last coached during Season 23.

The “Battle of Champions” will also include a new round, “The In-Season All-Star Competition,” which will see two contestants from each coach’s former teams will compete in a separate round, judged by former coach CeeLo Green. The coach that receives the most All-Star wins in the knockout round is guaranteed a second artist in the finale.

Clarkson is coming into the “Battle of Champions” with the most wins. She has won four times with artists Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15), Jake Hoot (Season 17) and Girl Named Tom (Season 21).

Levine, now in his 18th season, is a three-time winner and the very first winning coach on “The Voice” with Javier Colon. Levine also won with Tessanne Chin in Season 5 and Jordan Smith in Season 9.

Legend only has one win to his name, with Maelyn Jarmon in Season 17.
