Another Wawa is opening in South Jersey, and it may look a little different than the others.
At 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, Wawa’s newest South Jersey location in Pennsville is officially to open, followed by a ribbon-cutting, perks for the first 100 customers and full schedule of events, according to a press release.
The popular food and convenience chain has been debuting a new architectural look, fitted with exterior and interior design updates that are the first in New Jersey, the company stated.

The updated storefront includes wood elements and warm-toned brick, as well as asymmetric lines and a V-shaped column inspired by the formation of flying geese, a release from the company said.
Inside, customers may expect curated food and beverage displays, digital screen menus, public restrooms and surcharge-free ATMs.
The new store is located at 245 S. Broadway in Pennsville.
Guests on Sept. 25 can anticipate free T-shirts and hot coffees for the first 100 customers, a parade with Wawa associates, $6 meal deals, and Wawa’s Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition between local police and fire first responders.
Wally Goose, the company’s mascot, is also to be in attendance.
