27-year-old in critical condition after being shot in chest in Midtown Manhattan, shooter at-large
A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest in bustling Midtown Manhattan on Sunday night — as the shooter remains on the lam, according to authorities.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was shot in the chest around 10:13 p.m. at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue, according to the NYPD.
He was brought to Mount Sinai West in critical condition by police officers in an NYPD vehicle, cops added.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not immediately clear, and no arrests have been made, cops said.
