Martin Short is taking some time off.

After announcing the death of his daughter, Katherine Short, the “Only Murders in the Building” actor postponed his upcoming comedy show with co-star Steve Martin.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Steve Martin & Martin Short’s show, originally scheduled for Friday, February 27th in Milwaukee, has been postponed,” the Pabst Theater Group wrote on its website Tuesday.

“Tickets will be honored for a future rescheduled date. We will be in contact with further news when it is available.”

The duo also postponed their Feb. 28 show in Minneapolis, with the Hennepin Arts website announcing, “Steve Martin & Martin Short’s shows originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28 have been postponed. Tickets will be honored for a future rescheduled date when determined.”

The two are set to return to the stage on March 13 in Washington, D.C. and it’s unclear if that show has also been postponed.

Just hours before, a rep for the “Innerspace” actor confirmed to Page Six that Katherine had died by suicide.

“It is with profound grief that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short,” the statement read.

“The Short family is devastated by this loss, and asks for privacy at this time. Katherine was beloved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought into the world.”

The 41-year-old was reportedly found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her Hollywood Hills, Calif., home on Monday around 6 p.m. local time, per TMZ.

“At 6:41 p.m., we responded to a reported shooting at that address,” the Los Angeles Fire Department told Page Six, confirming they received a call to 911.

“Death was reported of a female.”

A 911 call later revealed that the person who reported the incident to authorities was “with the patient and unable to enter the bedroom.”

The social worker had previously been open about her struggles with mental health, introducing her service dog, Joni, on her professional website.

“Joni is my incredible service dog, who has been assisting me with my own struggles with mental illness for the past 5 years,” Katherine wrote.

“Joni will often be in the office with me, cuddled up on her bed,” Katherine continued. “She is an absolute sweetheart and just LOVES people, so don’t be surprised if she greets you with a smile, a wagging tail…and maybe even a kiss.”

Though Katherine remained mainly out of the spotlight, she accompanied her dad on several red carpets throughout the years.

The last time she was seen publicly was in October 2023, when she celebrated her 40th birthday at Grand Master Recorders eatery in Hollywood.

Martin adopted Katherine with his late wife, Nancy Dolan, who died of cancer in 2010. She was 58.

He also welcomed sons Oliver, 41, and Henry, 36, with Dolan via adoption.
