NOPD: Running man tried to cash bad $21k check

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is looking to identify and arrest a suspect who is accused of trying to cash a fraudulent $21,000 check. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

St. Tammany Parish deputies search for gadget theft suspect

According to police, around 1:00 in the afternoon on Oct. 1, the man entered a business in the 1900 block of Tchoupitoulas Street. They say he tried to cash a $21,000 check at a financial institution there, but was denied. They also say he had a fraudulent driver’s license and social security card.

When workers caught the irregularities, the man ran from the business. Police released a couple of images of the suspect.
