NYPD officer hospitalized after early morning Queens hit-and-run

An on-duty NYPD cop was hospitalized with minor injuries after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver on a Queens street early Saturday, authorities said – less than a week after another police officer was shot and killed when a maniac opened fire in a Midtown skyscraper.

The incident occurred just after 5 a.m. when a pair of officers attempted to pull over a speeding blue four-door Subaru Sedan near 46th Avenue and 108th Street, cops said.

The car clipped the officer while fleeing the scene, police said.

The cop was taken to a local hospital.

So far there are no arrests.

The hit-and-run comes less than a week after NYPD officer Didarul Islam was shot and killed when maniac Shame Tamura opened fire in a Midtown skyscraper Monday evening.
