CANADIAN COUNTY(KFOR)- Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a fatal two-car crash at N John Kilpatrick Turnpike early Saturday morning.
Authorities arrived to the crash to a gravel truck fully engulfed in flames and a 4-door sedan involved.
The 4-door sedan had two occupants with one needing extrication.
One occupant from the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant was transported to a nearby hospital with severity of injuries unknown.
The driver of the gravel truck was also taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the southbound traffic of the Kilpatrick Turnpike has been shut north of NW 23rd St.
The scene and cause of the crash is under further investigation.
