Exclusive | Ricky Martin has sold his NYC home for $6.45M after 8 years on and off the market

Ricky Martin has sold his Upper East Side home for its asking price of $6.45 million, Gimme Shelter can reveal.
The four-bedroom, 4.5-bath nest at 170 East End Ave. had been on and off the market since it first asked $8.4 million in 2017. It last listed for $6.45 million in September, as Gimme exclusively reported. Its new owner wasn’t immediately clear.
Martin — who was awarded MTV’s first-ever Latin Icon award in September — is currently on tour with nine upcoming concerts, including in Highland, California; Abu Dhabi and Mexico City. He bought the seventh-floor residence for $5.9 million in 2012.
Martin, who also owns a mid-century mansion in Beverly Hills, has quite the eye for real estate. His former home at 1309 Davies Drive in Beverly Hills is currently on the market for $49.95 million, down from its $75 million ask — which is listed with Carl Gambino, of Compass. Past owners of that dwelling, which sits on 2.37 acres, also include British actor Michael Caine and the family of American actress/singer Doris Day.
In Manhattan, this 3,147-square-foot perch was designed by Peter Marino. It features a large open living/dining area, with 10-foot high floor-to-ceiling windows and hardwood floors; and an open, windowed chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry designed by Marino. The residence boasts two main bedroom suites with oversized walk-in closets and spa-like baths. A fifth room can function as an extra bedroom — or a study, a library, a nursery or a media room.
Martin is father to twin teens Matteo and Valentino — he had them as a single dad via a surrogate. He also has a daughter, Lucia, and a son, Renn, who were also born via a surrogate with his then-husband, Jwan Yosef.
The building, which dates to 2008, is by Carl Schurz Park and the East River.
The listing brokers were Michael J. Franco and Miriam Richards of Compass
