Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) attempted to mock Illinois Gov.JB Pritzker (D) with a fat joke on Wednesday, only to end up being humiliated after the governor roasted him back.
During an interview on Newsmax, the Texas Republican attacked Pritzker for objecting toDonald Trump’s threats to deploy the National Guard in Chicago.
“What a disgusting, racist bigot JB Pritzker is,” Cruz said, implying that the governor’s attacks on Trump were somehow a slight against Latinos.

But Cruz’s feigned political correctness didn’t extend to other marginalized groups, such as overweight people, because he made a not-very-statesmanlike fat joke at Pritzker’s expense.
“And listen, I don’t want to get between JB Pritzker and the Domino’s pizza line, but I’ll tell you what I am willing to get between: It is him and his open doors for every human trafficker, every drug trafficker, every MS-13 and Tren de Aragua gang member,” Cruz said.
If Cruz expected his lame Domino’s joke to go over well, he was sorely mistaken.
“And I would never want to get between Ted and a trip to Cancun when there’s an emergency in Texas,” Pritzker clapped back, reminding people how Cruz left his fellow Texans to suffer record-cold temperatures and power outages while he and his family vacationed in Mexico.
Of course, people on social media felt obliged to comment on the political catfight.
