Authorities in Waynesboro are investigating a road rage shooting that injured a juvenile over the weekend, a press release said.
On August 3 at 3:29 p.m., officers from the Waynesboro Police Department responded to Moonshine Market at 1001 E. Main St. following a report of a victim with a gunshot wound. Police found a 16-year-old boy with injuries that were not life-threatening, the release said.
The teen was taken to UVA Health in Charlottesville. Initial findings suggest the incident stemmed from a road rage altercation in the 700 block of North Commerce Avenue, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
