‘The View’ conservative guest host Carly Fiorina calls Trump “callous, cruel” for publicly announcing congressman’s terminal diagnosis: “This is a human being with a family”

Conservative guest host Carly Fiorino took issue with President Trump on The View after he gleefully shared grim medical information about a congress member that was supposed to be kept private.
The View shared a clip during Tuesday’s (March 17) broadcast from a recent press conference in which Trump urged House Speaker Mike Johnson to share information about Florida Congressman Neil Dunn.
“We had one man who was very ill. It looked like he wasn’t gonna make it. I don’t know, I won’t mention his name,” Trump said before turning to Johnson. “Should I? Do other people know his name?” Trump added that Dunn would “be proud.”
As Johnson explained, “It was very serious. He had a pretty grim diagnosis,” Trump interjected to add, “He would be dead by June.”
“Okay that wasn’t public. But yeah, it was grim. That’s what I was going to say,” Johnson replied.
Fiorino, who is a cancer survivor, called Trump “callous” and “cruel” for sharing Dunn’s private medical information.
“It’s callous, it’s cruel, it’s careless,” she said. “It’s so unnecessary.”

“What I find so disheartening about this – again set all the policy matters aside, – this is a human being with a family who is grappling with […] with that kind of weight, with a family being put up on a public stage in that way by the president of the united states, is just so cruel,” Fiorino complained.
Sunny Hostin agreed that the move was “so careless” and “doesn’t make sense.”
“I’m starting to think that 25th amendment I starting to make more sense to me,” Hostin told Whoopi Goldberg. The 25th amendment states if the president is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the vice president should become the acting president. After Biden’s cognitive abilities were called into question, the ladies of The View have said multiple times Trump’s concerning behavior may also be reason enough to question his ability to lead the country.
“Why should he have the nuclear codes if he’s doing something like this?” Hostin asked.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
