Of all the spas in all the towns in the world, Alexandra Goebert insisted on going to the King Spa in Palisades Park, NJ, to force regular women to view the transwoman’s male genitals.
How selfish; how self-indulgently sanctimonious.
King is a traditional Korean family-friendly spa where men and women of all ages bathe naked in separate facilities, then don shorts, t-shirts and robes to meet up, eat bibimbap and relax.
Goebert showed up with a female friend in 2022 demanding to use the women’s area, and so flaunt intact-male junk in front of little girls and old grannies.
Spa employees, stuck on serving the best interests of 99.999% of their clients, didn’t realize that Correct Thought requires everyone else to honor all claims from anyone declaring themselves to be trans.
Even if you see every reason to believe this particular person is really just a perv and/or a bully.
It’s one thing to dress however you want; the rest of us can live with anyone who decides they’re the opposite sex — in public, mixed-sex spaces.
Whatever gets you through the night and all that.
But polite toleration does not, should not, force the rest of society to salute, nor to submit in single-sex spaces.
The matter of sex differences has been uncontroversial for thousands of years.
And women have every right to particular respect and privacy, for obvious reasons: Freaks and perverts have always tried to gain access to women’s spaces.
It is only recently that part of society — a distinct minority, but sadly a powerful and privileged one — has insisted that women and girls must accommodate “trans” demands even in places that exclude males to protect vulnerable females.
Scientists are coming to agree that true transsexualism is rare, even as trans social contagion seems to be fading.
But the woke social engineers still fight to make women tolerate naked men in their spas, gyms and sports teams, and so Goebert’s lawsuit threats have made King Spa knuckle under.
It’s disgraceful, and incoming Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill could do a world of good by pushing the Legislature to explicitly allow for true women’s spaces.
If Goebert feels discomfort disrobing in front of men, he/she can find some other solution that doesn’t stomp on everyone else’s sensibilities. Perhaps any of the thousands of non-nude spas?
