Trump signs executive order banning flag burning —warns those who desecrate flag will get a year in jail

WASHINGTON — President Trump signed a third executive order Monday to ban flag-burning.

“If you burn a flag, you get one year in jail — no early exits, no nothing,” Trump said while signing the order.

“And you will see flag-burning stopping immediately.”

The Department of Justice will be tapped to probe incidents of flag-burning.
